DOTNET Compact FrameWork for Symbians60

Red Five Labs, a company based in South Africa has just released second beta of NET60. NET60 is actually Compact Framework for S60 (Series 60) platform of Symbian OS. It basically enables S60 mobile phones to run Compact Framework applications without any change required.

It offers interesting proposition for ISVs with primary skills in .net or windows mobile development as there are a hell lot of S60 devices out there including the popular N-Series from Nokia.

However they seem to support CF 1.0 only and CF 3.5 is already out so I think they are lagging behind there. In my opinion they should support atleast CF 2.0.

Searching Files :
So here is the tricky url syntax:

-inurl:(htm|html|php) intitle:”index of” +”last modified” +”parent directory” +description +size +(your choice) “name”

“your choice” can be either of the following file types:
-> wma|mp3 for Music
-> pdf|doc for Ebooks
-> mpg|wmv for Videos

and “name” can be any specific music file, movie or book, you are looking for.

For example:

-inurl:(htm|html|php) intitle:”index of” +”last modified” +”parent directory” +description +size +(wma|mp3) “Shakira”

This is a Google search string for searching open web directories containing downloadable Shakira music files.

Faces With Google Image Search :
You can use this trick on Google Image search to filter the search results so that they include only images of people. This search can be performed just by appending the string

&imgtype=face

at the end of the URL address after you perform a standard Google Image search.

Free Proxies :

Movie in MS Paint

Another MS Paint Trick goes here, I was not knowing that Painting area in MS paint utility works as Video screen!! lovely trick.
* First start a movie in any player.

* Then open Paint.

* Now, in the player when the movie is being played, press "Print screen" button on your key board.

* Now, Press ctrl+v in Paint

* Leave the movie player open and don't minimize it.

* Open Paint now and se the movie in the Paint!
