Microsoft Paint trick

Sorry friend, this is not going to help your system, but this is cool trick that you should know specially while teaching paint to children's Surely they will be amazed.

1. Open Paint
2. Select Air brush. Fill two three colors in a small area linearly.
3. Select free form select and select the area where you have put the colors from air brush
4>Press shift, and move your mouse keeping shift pressed

this post is specially for my broadband user friends.

1. Click Start
2. Click run
3. In the run box type "cmd" (without quotes)and click OK
4. When the command prompt opens type the following and hit enter after every new line.

ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
exit

Explanation : As all Broadband users has dynamic ip they can simply change their ip address. by the commands mentioned above.


If you are bore of typing this much Command then simply make a batch file.
Creating a Batch file.
Open a notepad. type following in it.

@echo off
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
@echo on

Save this file with name you like and the extension as bat.
now simply execute this file.

Tricks for Firefox !!

As all Knows Firefox is great browser, i always recommend to use firefox. since it has lots of features. Here are some cool tricks that We all should know While using firefox.

1. Session Restore
This feature provides you to access the your accidentally closed Tabs. Simply go to history and select your page that was closed Accidentally from Recently closed windows.

2. Using Firefox to Calculate
Sorry, you are not using firefox as Calculator, but you can use the search box at the Top right side of Firefox. The Default search engine is Google and some of you has tried google search engine acts as a Calculator. So to Calculate Simply Enter the expression(521 + 845) in the Search box and search you get the result. Wow.

3. Firefox Magnifier
Are your eyes paining due lot lots of reading in the 1024 by 768 or any higher Resolution?
i am not going to say to reduce resolution of your screen. nor use that windows old magnifier. Firefox has its own magnifier.
How to :
i. Zoom in : CTRL (key)and at same time use plus key
ii. Zoom out : CTRL(key) and minus key
iii. Normal : CTRL(KEY) And 0 (Zero key)

4. Multiple Homepage
I am a Regular orkut,gmail user whenever i come online first i visit them. Each time i need to enter atleast one address to visit. but firefox has multiple homepage. Simply in the home page setting use the ORing operator '|' - pipe. between two addresses

Using Phonetics to use Indian languages over Web

Phonetic Transliteration is a method of using English alphabet for writing in non-English languages. Below is a mapping table for Marathi, Hindi and Gujarati script characters (vowels, consonants) respectively to corresponding English alphabets, followed by some illustrative examples. To make it easy to remember, the corresponding English alphabets are as close as possible to how the script characters are pronounced.

nice to see that you still like to chat in mothertongue. Many times i've seen that people saying that new generation is forgetting their mothertongue,but they should meet you.
So you wann to type your matter in your mothertongue. You must be thinking, for it you should know your keyboard character's in your mothertoungue. Don't worry guys we r not going to learn a character-set in your mothertongue. we'll use software.

jus go with following 3 steps :
1. Download and install software :
The software's name is 'barahaIME1.0'. This is a freeware. You have to download it from www.baraha.com setup is of 1.5 Mb, it takes upto 3-4 minute for 56kbps modem to download. Install the software ( nothing than clicking NEXT. )
2. Running First time and configuring the settings :
Run the application from your program menu. it settle's next to your clock of taskbar.

right click it, menu pop up,goto language option, select urs
goto "convert English text" select yes.configuration complete.

3. Using BarahaIME 1.0

goto your orkut scrapbook etc type in your phonetic English its converted to your mother tongue. eg:" bade bhai kaise ho ?"is automatically converted to mother tongue selected. you may say that i want to type English and Hindi mix then toggling is the way you can toggle between your mother tongue and English by key 'F11'.

How To Block Websties Without Software, block websites

Steps:

1] Browse C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
2] Find the file named "HOSTS"
3] Open it in notepad
4] Under "127.0.0.1 localhost" Add 127.0.0.2 www.sitenameyouwantblocked.com , and that site will no longer be accessible.
5] Done!

-So-

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.2 www.blockedsite.com

-->www.blockedsite.com is now unaccessible<--


For every site after that you want to add, just add "1" to the last number in the internal ip (127.0.0.2) and then the add like before.

IE: 127.0.0.3 www.yahoo.com
127.0.0.4 www.google.com
127.0.0.5 www.hotmail.com

etc
